About the role



We're seeking a Knowledge Exchange Manager to lead the design and delivery of impactful knowledge exchange and dissemination activities across our diverse agri-tech project portfolio. This role is central to translating complex scientific and technical insights into practical, accessible knowledge that drives innovation and adoption across the agricultural sector. You'll work closely with academic institutions, commercial partners and farming communities to ensure projects deliver real-world impact. With a strong understanding of stakeholder needs and barriers to technology uptake, you'll help shape strategic initiatives that align with both company goals and Innovate UK guidelines.

This is a fixed-term position for 18 months. The role can be fully remote or hybrid if you are within commutable distance to one of our hubs (Edinburgh, York, Midlands).



Key responsibilities



We're looking for a dynamic and strategic Knowledge Exchange Manager to drive impactful collaboration across cutting-edge CR&D, commercial, and strategic projects. In this role, you will:

Lead the planning and delivery of knowledge exchange activities across CR&D, commercial and strategic projects, ensuring alignment with Innovate UK guidelines Support project teams with stakeholder engagement, co-development and dissemination, ensuring timely and effective delivery Translate funding bids into actionable plans and oversee delivery to meet time, cost and quality targets Build strong stakeholder relationships to share insights, drive collaboration and support technology adoption Contribute to funding proposals and develop sector-specific knowledge exchange strategies Grow and utilise farmer and satellite networks to enhance project engagement and impact Monitor project progress, manage risks and ensure alignment with objectives Produce reports and dashboards to support governance and decision-making Mentor team members and help build organisational knowledge exchange capability

What we are looking for



We're looking for a strategic, collaborative, and impact-driven professional with a strong background in agriculture, agri-tech, or a related field to lead knowledge exchange across high-value innovation projects.

Degree or equivalent experience in agriculture, agri-tech, environmental science, animal or social sciences Proven experience managing complex knowledge exchange activities across multiple high-value projects Familiarity with Innovate UK-funded projects and delivery frameworks Strong ability to translate technical content into accessible formats for diverse audiences Strategic thinker with excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills Skilled in MS Office, project management tools, and creating process documentation (e.g. WBS, flowcharts) Knowledge of GDPR principles and their practical application Collaborative team player with a detail-oriented and client-focused approach
