The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring that all food preparation areas are hygienic and well-stocked. Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and food preparation areas. Wash, dry, and store kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and dishes. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or cooks. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly. Help manage stock levels by receiving deliveries and storing ingredients appropriately. Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed. Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. A team player who can collaborate well with others in the kitchen. Good communication skills to interact with kitchen staff and management.
