Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS1-2 Tutor (in english and maths specifically) to provide personalised educational support to students of various ages and abilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tutoring or teaching, with a particular focus on fostering a positive learning environment. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of each student, including those with special educational requirements.

Duties

Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the specific needs of each student. Develop customised lesson plans and educational resources that align with curriculum standards. Assess students' progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience. Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes confidence and academic growth. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to student development. Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. Stay updated on best practices in education and tutoring methodologies.

Qualifications

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children or young adults. Strong understanding of special education principles is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed academically. Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs. Relevant qualifications in education or a related field are preferred but not mandatory. 1. Enhanced DBS and on Update Service

2. Proof of self-employment (UTR etc)

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: 20.00-30.00 per hour
