KS1 Teacher - Maternity Leave

KS1 Class Teacher

Our Primary school in Bickerstaffe area are seeking a dedicated professional with years of experience in supporting children. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of students.

Position: KS1 Teacher - Maternity Cover

Location: Bickerstaffe Area

Start Date: January Start

Hours: Monday - Friday (08.30am - 16.00pm)

Year: KS1

Pay: 117.67 - 173.71 (Depending on experience)

Role & Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver individualized learning programmes for students with cognitive and learning difficulties. Use a variety of teaching strategies and interventions to engage and support diverse learning needs. Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, and external professionals to implement effective Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) Monitor student progress, set achievable targets, and provide detailed feedback to parents and carers. Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes confidence and independence. Adapt teaching materials and resources to ensure accessibility for all students. Provide mentorship and guidance to support staff working within the SEND department.

Qualifications Required:

Qualified Teacher Status In depth knowledge of the curriculum Teaching experience across all key stages Flexibility, adaptability and confidence Strong classroom management skills An enhanced DBS check on the update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS Provide a full work history and references to cover a minimum of 5 years
