ASRA Hub is an independent online school with an Islamic ethos. It seeks to appoint an outstanding and experienced ICT Teacher across Key Stages 3 and 4 to the IGCSE Level. Character and moral development of pupils is at the core of our school ethos, potential candidate is expected to work in line with the school ethos.
The role is a long-term contract and offers flexible work-from-home hours (Monday through Thursday). The successful candidate will be required to teach live lessons online, so a good computer/laptop and a broadband connection are required. Applicants should have Qualified Teacher Status and an up-to-date DBS check.

Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare engaging lessons in line with English National Curriculum guidelines
Deliver engaging, interactive lessons via the virtual classroom.
Mark and monitor students' work and set targets for progress
Set and mark appropriate homework for students
Assesses and records student development while identifying the problem areas and areas which need attention and improvement
Provide meaningful feedback on pupils' learning
Work within their faculty to meet curricular and departmental aims
Have an excellent working knowledge of IT to enable them to deliver lessons using the virtual classroom technology and navigate around the learning management system
Skills:
- PGCSE/QTS from a U.K. university.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong ability to educate and inspire students towards academic excellence.
- Competent and adaptive user of technology.
- Proficient in behaviour management strategies to maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Prior experience in tutoring or providing individualised academic support is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English language instruction.
