Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students.
- Support students in their learning and development, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create and implement lesson plans that align with educational objectives.
- Help maintain a safe and positive learning environment for students.
- Assist with classroom management, including behavior management and discipline.
- Provide individualized attention and support to students with special needs or learning challenges.
- Assist with the preparation and organization of classroom materials and resources.
- Support students during mealtime, recess, and other activities throughout the day.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting such as a preschool or childcare center.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the growth and development of young learners.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities in a dynamic classroom environment.
- Familiarity with special education strategies and techniques is a plus.
- A background in adult education or experience working with adult learners is also beneficial.
