Job Title: KYC Desk Relationship Manager - Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEEMA)

Location: London

Corporate Title: Vice President

The Know Your Client (KYC) Desk Relationship Manager will be responsible for providing leadership across the KYC Desk function and managing the lifecycle of a Client through onboarding activities, by using the New Client Adoption (NCA) framework.

Primarily focused on Clients managed from the UK office where Client Coverage is provided by UK based personnel, the role will work closely with Fixed Income Currency (FIC) global teams to ensure that handoffs and dependencies are complied with, and that operational and performance targets are met \xe2\x80\x93 focusing on onboarding efforts for existing clients, and to deliver against targeted desk strategies.

Your key responsibilities

Support the production of critical metrics and reporting which provide data related to performance, risk quantification and resource capacity

Review production throughput and analyse the data to help improve efficiency and turn-around times and force continuous improvement.

Address production blockers with the Case Managers and maker/checker teams

Understanding of the risk associated with specific entity / client types and evaluating the case risk as a result

Review new and existing regulatory and KYC requirements, understand the impact and be able to convey these to the business

Provide oversight of FIC Periodic Review files in a timely manner \xe2\x80\x93 apprising the business of any emerging risk to deadlines and escalating where required (production is delivered via an alternative team)

Your skills and experience

Managerial or leadership experience working within a Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Technology, Operations, Strategy and/or Front Office division, experience in leading KYC functions is advantageous

Relevant experience in Client On-boarding processes and requirements

Understanding of KYC, AFC, Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and other regulatory requirements relating to financial products

Ability to manage and control detailed metrics, financials, risks, and issues

Excellent communication skills

Proven track record as a leader, able to work in virtual global teams and a matrix organisation
