Job Description
A leading materials testing laboratory based in Ledbury is seeking a Lab Operations Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day laboratory services, driving business growth and ensuring technical excellence. This is a key leadership role, focused on managing operations and enhancing quality standards.
Laboratory Operations Manager responsibilities:
Laboratory Operations & Quality:
+ Take overall responsibility for the laboratory's technical operations.+ Implement and maintain ISO/IEC 17025 and Nadcap Materials Testing standards.
+ Continuously improve services for internal and external customers.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement:
+ Lead and manage a diverse technical team.+ Work closely with senior leadership, including the Technical Director, Head of Quality, and Operations Director.
+ Engage with accreditation bodies and key industry partners.
Laboratory Operations Manager requirements:
Education & Expertise:
+ Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Engineering (preferred).+ Strong background in metals/materials testing.
+ Experience in the aerospace or metals production industry is beneficial.
Industry & Quality Standards:
+ Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and Nadcap accreditation.+ Understanding of Ni alloys or other major alloy systems is a plus.
