WHAT YOU\'LL DO
The LAB Office Operations Senior Director acts as thought partner and operational executer to the LAB MT and is accountable for ensuring the LAB Offices operate efficiently, effectively and at minimal risk; focused on creating a happy, healthy and engaged workforce.

The LAB Operations Senior Director will work with local Office Leaders (OLs) to provide thought leadership and counsel on operational strategy for the local business - including, EA support, Office Services and general Administrative Services, as well as office specific initiatives and events, space management and relocation. She/he will ensure best practice sharing, standardization and further development of such local support processes, as well as local implementation of company wide change projects, tech solutions and operations initiatives.

The LAB Operations Senior Director interacts and works effectively with members of the Consulting and BST staff at all levels across LAB, as well as in regional and global Operations networks and project teams.
YOU\'RE GOOD AT

1. Harmonize LAB operations across all three offices

  • Continuously monitor performance across operations, seek out opportunities for improvement, align and execute change.
  • Ensure that all local office environments are maintained to a standard which appropriately reflects our firm to our employees, candidates and other visitors. Lead efforts to create and encourage a stimulating work environment for all LAB staff
  • Working with LAB HR and Ops Director and LAB Finance Executive Director, on location and real estate strategy, in partnership with Global Real Estate, to ensure sufficient space at appropriate cost
  • Provide leadership and direction to the local operations leads and their teams on office space topics - short and long-term plans as well as projects such as refurbishments, moving and all other relevant processes related to optimizing and rationalizing space and cost
  • Ensure coordination and supervision of all office processes including executive and administrative support, local IT services, reception, catering etc
Risk Management
  • Identify and mitigate risks across LAB
  • Work with Controller/Finance Team to embed risk management into the Ops function, ensuring adequate systems of internal controls (segregation of duties, reconciliations, checks and balances and oversight). Lead improvement/change projects as required
  • Ensure LAB has an up to date business continuity plan and implements and regularly tests an emergency tracking system
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with Global Security to ensure our offices are secure and safe and our office protocols protect information and assets.
  • Develop and implement appropriate local office polices (in line with global policies and reflecting local laws), clearly communicate to staff and monitor
2. Management and Leadership of LAB Operations teams
  • Act as the second Line Manager to senior LAB operations team, selection and onboarding of new team members as well as Lead, coach, and develop the team
  • Serve as a thought partner, counsellor and go-to person on a range of issues related to Operations
  • Ensure that the LAB Ops teams work cohesively towards clearly articulated goals aligned with the overall BCG strategy. Facilitate regular meetings/communication
  • Optimize support structure and plan for continued growth
  • Balance and manage trade-offs and priorities across the local offices and operations
3. Partner to Leadership Team
  • Support the HR and Ops Senior Director and system leader in building and sustaining affiliation amongst the LAB community
  • Provide insight into the impact of business decisions as they relate to our people (motivation, retention, attraction etc)
4. Manage special projects
  • Managing projects like Corona Taskforce: supporting all efforts regarding emergency response and ramp-up
  • Counsel design and implementation of office-related initiatives and events
  • Further develop support and working models for CTAs/EAs
  • Support local implementation of global and regional change projects
  • Coordinate and team with other Regional and Global teams to foster best practice sharing
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • 10+ years leadership experience
  • University degree
  • Relevant experience in a professional services environment
  • Experience in a complex, decentralized environment
  • In depth experience leading a functional area (Operations, Finance or HR)
  • Strong analytical skills, structured and accurate
