In our Lab Technician role will assist in performing and data recording of all aspects of cell culture work, including formulation development and process chemistry in compliance with appropriate SOPs, GLPs, and regulatory guidelines. Duties will include routine procedures and housekeeping duties associated with the day-to-day running of the laboratory.

Essential Job Duties:



As a research technician in Stemnovate's team, you will

Provide a variety of support activities to non-GMP lab operations Service, clean and configure lab equipment such as reactor tissue culture hood and filters, chromatography systems and various other laboratory assets Prepare media solutions for different products Dispose of waste, transport chemicals on site, purchase and restock a variety of chemicals, solvents and consumable items Assist the wider team with the dispensing and shipping of materials Host engineer visits and become knowledgeable about parts and maintenance for laboratory equipment Assist in carrying out experiments Carry out own experiments and instrument analyses where directed following period of training and development.

Education and Experience:



Experience of PCRs and molecular biology Degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject Knowledge of how to safely work in the laboratory with regular PPE Understanding of good laboratory documentation practices GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English Interest in laboratory work and the biotech industry Seeks to participate in department/group discussions Good interpersonal skills and emerging teamwork and communication skills, and Passion for science, with the desire to learn and increase skill level (training can be provided).
Please note that some weekend working is required for this role.
