We have 5 sites in Dorset, 4 on the Ferndown Industrial Estate and 1 in Verwood. This role is based at our site in Ferndown.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our material science team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work hands-on with advanced materials, support innovative research projects, and contribute directly to the development of new products and technologies.

You'll work closely with the material science team to prepare, test, and analyse material samples, maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities



Conduct physical and chemical testing of materials Prepare and process samples for routine testing Record, analyse, and report experimental data accurately. Maintain laboratory equipment, records, and safety documentation. Assist in the development and validation of new testing methods. Support ongoing R&D projects through data collection and experimental setup. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Skills & Experience



Practical experience in a laboratory or industrial testing environment is advantageous however not a necessity Self-motivated with strong attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
