The Laboratory Performance Senior Specialist role is responsible for ongoing assurance of performance delivery within the QC laboratory team; including identification and delivery of best practice solutions from across the GSK QC network. The role will support continuous improvement across all areas of laboratory performance management and act as a champion for GPS within the laboratory teams. This role will also support delivery of specific initiatives linked to laboratory Operating Leverage objectives.

In this role you will...

Support the laboratory managers in delivery of performance improvements aligned with site objectives. Act as champion for GPS deployment within the laboratory and support implementation and sustaining of aligned GPS standards across all laboratories. Support laboratory operations director in driving performance improvement across the laboratory through e.g. management of lab compliance activities and capacity modelling. Identify trends within laboratory KPIs and deliver aligned improvement activities. May represent Barnard Castle laboratory team in global forums to identify, share and adopt best practice examples. Identify and implement continuous improvement programmes aligned to laboratory objectives and KPIs. Support Laboratory team in maintaining a green productivity, performance and QC compliance dashboard. Identify and deliver improvement activities aligned to laboratory Operating Leverage initiatives. Support site GMP inspections as required.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications & Skills:


Degree level qualification in scientific discipline. Understanding of laboratory operations and scientific knowledge to underpin testing principles Experience within pharmaceutical industry Incumbents must be able to demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of laboratory operations, have demonstrated experience in regulatory inspections/inspection management and be able to demonstrate tangible and sustained improvements.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:


Certification in DMAIC methodology and/or orange belt certification is preferable.
