We are currently looking for an RVN to join our team as a laboratory registered veterinary nurse.


The day-to-day responsibilities of this role are:

Be responsible and accountable for the running of the in-house laboratory. Take responsibility for the efficient running of the laboratory ensuring that samples are processed in a timely and organised fashion. Preparing samples for shipment to external laboratories Providing accurate and correct recording of samples undertaken in-house as well as samples sent to external laboratories including the management of the electronic samples sheet. Stock control: Maintaining stock levels, placing orders, receiving laboratory deliveries and stock rotation of new supplies Maintain a tidy and clean working environment, including disposal of laboratory waste Be responsible for the training of relevant personnel within laboratory techniques and laboratory maintenance. Comply with laboratory health and safety procedures. On weekends support with inpatient care Ensuring the delivery of the practice's core values and key excellence indicators.

The ideal candidate will be organised, hardworking and self-motivated , be computer literate and able to use MS Office and have both strong written and verbal communication skills. Previous laboratory experience is desirable but not essential.


This is a permanent, full-time position, Monday to Friday

Our hospital facilities are of the highest quality, including on-site Siemens 64-slice CT, Siemens 1.5T MRI, two in-theatre mobile image intensifiers, two digital radiography rooms, ultrasonography, electro diagnostics, video endoscopy and an extensive range of advanced surgical equipment.
