About You
You're a confident people manager with a strong background in laboratory operations and quality systems. You're hands-on, proactive, and committed to high standards in safety, performance, and customer delivery.
Key Requirements

HND or degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant scientific discipline
Strong knowledge of ISO 17025 and UKAS requirements
Previous experience managing lab teams and workload
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Flexible, organised, and able to work under pressure
Confident in client-facing environments

About The Opportunity
You'll be responsible for day-to-day lab operations, ensuring technical quality, supporting staff development, and maintaining safety and compliance. You'll act as the site's UKAS Quality & Technical Manager and play a central role in supporting Intertek's wider growth goals.
Key Activities

Manage lab team performance and development
Oversee sampling, analysis, and reporting
Maintain compliance with ISO 17025 and client protocols
Lead audits, quality reviews, and internal training
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments
Champion QHSE procedures and continuous improvement
