About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Laboratory Supervisor
to lead our
Construction Materials Testing Laboratory
, specializing in
asphalt, concrete, and soil testing
. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to quality assurance in civil engineering materials.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily laboratory operations for asphalt, concrete, and soil testing.
Ensure compliance with relevant testing standards (ASTM, AASHTO, BS, EN, or equivalent).
Oversee sample collection, preparation, and testing procedures to maintain accuracy and integrity.
Manage and train lab technicians, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Review and approve test reports before submission to clients and project teams.
Maintain calibration records and ensure all testing equipment is properly maintained.
Coordinate with site engineers and project managers on material quality and compliance issues.
Prepare monthly performance reports and participate in internal and external audits.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
Minimum
5 years of hands-on experience
in construction materials testing (asphalt, concrete, and soil).
Strong knowledge of international testing standards (ASTM, AASHTO, BS, or EN).
Previous experience in a supervisory or senior lab technician role is essential.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Familiarity with QA/QC documentation and laboratory management systems.
