Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to support the daily operations of our laboratory. The role is responsible for carrying out routine laboratory procedures, manufacturing media, preparing reagents and ensuring that all work is conducted in compliance with established protocols and quality standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong technical background in laboratory techniques, excellent attention to detail, and a consistent commitment to accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities



Support Manufacturing and QC Scientists by preparing and aliquoting reagents, buffers, and media required for production. Manufacture media and supplements to meet both internal and external customer demand, aligning with forecasting requirements. Maintain accurate stock levels of consumables and reagents, ensuring the ERP system is up to date. Order reagents and consumables to maintain adequate production stocking levels. Receive, inspect, and book in new stock and reagents. Assist the Facilities Manager with maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability of results. Maintain laboratory records, logs, and documentation, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and quality requirements. Manage waste streams, including clinical, chemical, general, and recycling, in line with regulatory and company requirements. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, QC, QA, Facilities, and Logistics to support operational and scientific requirements. Follow health, safety, and environmental protocols to maintain a safe and secure working environment. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, ISO quality standards, and internal laboratory policies. Contribute to laboratory housekeeping, including cleaning, waste disposal, and general upkeep of facilities and workspaces. Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to quality in all aspects of laboratory work.

Experience



Minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience, ideally within a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or cell biology environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, including cross-functional collaboration. Hands-on experience with preparation of reagents, buffers, and media. Experience maintaining laboratory equipment, consumables, and stock control systems. Knowledge of quality standards, ISO procedures, and regulatory compliance. Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols, waste management, and health and safety regulations. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory work. Ability to follow SOPs, protocols, and regulatory guidelines. Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for laboratory procedures and equipment. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 24,420.00-27,000.00 per year
