Conduct quantitative analysis of metals.
Perform analysis methods with accuracy and efficiency, meeting required turnaround times.
Collaborate effectively with team members, demonstrating strong teamwork and communication skills.
Maintain precise, up-to-date laboratory records and documentation.
Ensure all laboratory activities are performed safely and in compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Promote and demonstrate excellent Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) practices, ensuring all work aligns with relevant risk assessments.
Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of chemicals and consumables required for daily operations.
Requirements - The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Hands-on experience in wet chemical laboratories and pyrometallurgical (furnace-based) environments.
Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail and a conscientious approach to laboratory tasks.
Knowledge of quality and regulatory standards, particularly ISO 9001, ISO 17025, and ISO 14001.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a collaborative team.
Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), data analysis using spreadsheets, and statistical tools (desirable).
Understanding and adherence to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and current health and safety regulations relevant to laboratory environments.
