About the Role:

We are looking for a reliable and hard-working

Labourer

to join our small team working in

Reading

, mainly on

void properties (empty homes)

under

Reading Borough Council contracts

. The role involves assisting with full refurbishments, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and general internal work.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, develop their skills, and grow within a stable team with consistent work all year round.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with internal refurbishment tasks in void properties Carry materials, clean and prepare work areas Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, plumbers, painters, etc.) Operate hand tools and basic machinery under supervision Follow health & safety procedures at all times Keep work sites clean and organised

Requirements:

Mandatory: Valid CSCS card

Mandatory: Right to work in the UK

Basic knowledge of construction tools Willingness to learn and follow instructions Good team player and physically fit Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage, but not essential
