Job Summary


We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Labour Manager to lead and coordinate all aspects of workforce management on construction sites. In this pivotal role, you will oversee labor planning, supervision, and safety compliance to ensure efficient project execution. Your expertise in construction management software, project scheduling, and team supervision will drive productivity while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence large-scale projects by managing skilled labor forces, optimizing resource allocation, and fostering a safety-first environment.

Duties



Develop comprehensive labor plans aligned with project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 and Construction management software to ensure timely delivery of milestones. Supervise and coordinate on-site labor teams, including subcontractors and direct hires, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schematics, and blueprints. Monitor daily construction activities, providing leadership and direction to ensure safety protocols are followed in compliance with OSHA standards. Manage workforce scheduling, ensuring optimal staffing levels through effective use of Construction management software like ProCore and HeavyBid. Conduct regular site inspections to uphold quality control standards, review construction schematics, and verify work progress against project plans. Collaborate with project managers on budgeting and cost control related to labor resources, adjusting plans as necessary for project scope changes. Oversee safety training sessions and enforce safety policies related to construction site experience, including the use of tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing. Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately to guide onsite work activities. Maintain detailed records of labor hours, safety incidents, and project progress reports for accountability and future planning. Ensure all team members are trained on construction site safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Utilize construction estimating techniques to assist in resource planning and procurement processes.

Experience



Proven management experience supervising construction labor teams in diverse environments with a focus on large-scale projects. Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, budget management, and resource allocation within the construction industry. Strong understanding of contracts, blueprints reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating processes. Hands-on experience with construction site safety protocols including OSHA standards; familiarity with electrical testing tools like ohmmeters is a plus. Prior experience in quality control inspections and managing subcontractors is highly desirable. Excellent leadership skills with a track record of supervising diverse teams effectively while fostering a safe work environment. Knowledge of heavy civil construction is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: 12.62-15.68 per hour
