We are seeking a dedicated and reliable General Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our facility, ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, food safety protocols, and basic mathematics to support our food production efforts.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain machinery used in food production, ensuring optimal performance.
Adhere to food safety standards and practices, including HACCP guidelines.
Assist in the preparation and processing of food products while maintaining high quality.
Conduct regular checks on equipment to identify any mechanical issues and report them promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area in compliance with health regulations.
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
Perform basic mathematical calculations for inventory management and quality control.
Requirements
Proven mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
Understanding of food safety practices, including HACCP principles.
Experience in food production environments is highly desirable.
Basic maths skills for calculations related to production and inventory.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
