We are looking to recruit an LABOURER to join our team at Thomas and Sons Construction Limited.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a proactive GENERAL LABOURER. You will need to be able to use your initiative, Be able to work in a team, Good at communicating with colleagues and a can-do attitude. Your role will be to assist with all trades on our sites. Your day-to-day responsibilities will change to suit what is needed. You will ideally have experience in the Construction Industry. There is room for progression to someone who shows potential within a trade.

For the right person we are offering 12.50 per hour. Normal working hours are 8am-4.30pm with an early finish of 3.30pm on Fridays.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Carry out all labouring tasks that are needed on site as instructed by the Site Manager. You will also need to use your initiative to carry out these tasks as our Site Managers are very busy and there may be tasks they have missed.

Be proactive on sites where there are multiple trades, you will be needed all around the site to assist with our Operatives

Be on site for the agreed time with your Site Manager.

When on site we require you to be respectful to our clients and leave site in a clean and tidy condition.

There may be times when you are required to carry out additional tasks at your Supervisor's/Manager's request.

We expect you to follow our Health and Safety Policies and procedures ensuring a safe working environment and report any non- conformances of Health and Safety.

We expect you to ensure that you work safely and adhere to your Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

We expect you to carry out work to the highest standards and ensure a good quality of work.

Any variations to work must be reported to your supervisor.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

A full CLEAN driving license and OWN TRANSPORT (You may be required to travel to out of town locations)

This role is subject to DBS/police clearance.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 39 per week
