Job Description
We're looking for experienced labourers to join our team for drainage installation and remedial works. The role involves working on active sites, often in tight or deep excavations, so a solid understanding of safety procedures and site practices is important.
Main Responsibilities
Carry out groundworks, including excavation, pipe laying, backfilling, and reinstatement Install and repair drainage systems (foul and surface water) Assist with remedial works such as patching, manhole repairs, and general clean-up Operate small tools and plant (e.g. breakers, trench compactor, wacker plate) Support the ganger or site supervisor with daily tasks Follow health and safety protocols on site and report any issues Work cooperatively with other trades and site management
Requirements
Experience in civils, particularly drainage or utilities Physically fit, dependable, and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions Team player with a hands-on approach Any training welcome, but not mandatory--as this can be provided
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: From 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: On the road
Expected start date: 18/08/2025
