Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Traffic Marshall to oversee the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians at our site. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and communication skills, ensuring that all traffic regulations are adhered to while maintaining a smooth flow of operations. This role is vital for promoting safety and efficiency in high-traffic environments.

Duties

Direct and control vehicle movements within designated areas to ensure safety and compliance with traffic regulations. Communicate effectively with drivers, pedestrians, and other staff to facilitate smooth traffic flow. Conduct regular maintenance checks on traffic management equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Report any incidents or hazards promptly to the relevant authorities. Assist in the training of new staff on traffic management protocols and procedures. Maintain a visible presence at all times to deter unsafe behaviour and provide assistance as needed.

Experience

Previous experience in a similar role or within traffic management is advantageous. Strong driving skills with a valid driving licence are essential. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required for effective interaction with diverse groups. A background in maintenance or facilities management would be beneficial but is not essential.
