Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a reliable labourer / driver's assistant to act as 2nd person on a commercial bin lorry route; Loading wheeled bin units into refuse vehicle.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manually moving domestic wheelie bins and loading the vehicle outside in all weather conditions Using a lifting mechanism to empty waste into the bin lorry Working on your feet for extended periods throughout the day Handling the physical demands of waste collection operations To accurately record your day's work using a tablet Ensure all bins are weighed accurately Ensure all customers premises are left in a tidy state, and that bins are returned
Requirements:
Good team working skills and good communication skills Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment Previous experience within a waste & recycling industry environment would be an advantage Ability to meet the physical requirements of manual handling and outdoor work Must have the legal right to work in the UK
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From 13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
