Land Consultant - Pedder Development Services



Pedder is a local, family owned and run, high performing estate agency with 9 branches across the south east of London. The Pedder Group offer services in residential sales, lettings, property management, land and new homes, and financial services.

We are looking for a motivated, entrepreneurial, property focused Graduate to join our Development Services team as a Land Agent.

Brief duties of the role:

Site Identification

- identify land, development, new homes and build to rent opportunities in relation to your allocated geographical area. Monitor all planning applications by making use of Searchland software and by browsing local authority databases and planning portals.

Obtain Site Position

- using all means possible, and in accordance with best practice, you must identify the owner/decision maker of the site and learn expectations for land value and deal structure.

Site Introductions/ Disposal

- draft site introduction letters, working with the Director to prepare marketing prospectus' and liaise with existing client database and diarise follow ups as required.

Networking

- there is an expectation for constant networking to provide opportunities for the department. The client database must be constantly updated to ensure that all data is accurate and relevant.

Market research

- research of comparable market data including schedules of market transactions, confirmation of achieved sales prices with selling agents and the preparation of presentation packs including maps, marketing details and price breakdown.

Commercial Agency

- assist where required in all functions within commercial agency to identify suitable commercial opportunities, use Co-Star to stay on top of recent market data and industry news and conducting commercial property viewings.

Client Management

- accurate client database management, qualification of potential purchasers, dealing promptly with enquiries and feedback. To maintain positive and professional relationships with all clients at every stage through to completion.

Pipeline Management

- you will be responsible for your own pipeline, nurturing the deal from the point of contact to the point of exchange/completion. Viewing properties, negotiating offers, liaising with solicitors and delivering the highest levels of customer service to buyers and sellers alike.

Targets

- to work individually to exceed your targets as well as supporting your team to become the market leader in your area and meet the overall department target.

Compliance

- to ensure you work in line with industry standards and legislation.

Hours and Location:



Our Development Services team are based within our branch in Peckham (SE15 2EZ).

Working hours are as follows:

Monday 8:45-18:00
Tuesday 8:45-18:00
Wednesday 8:45-18:00
Thursday 8:45-18:00
Friday 8:45-17:00
Saturday As required for any Development launches.

Candidate requirements:



A full and cleandriving licence (essential) - a Company Car is provided as part of this role. A Property related degree (essential). Within a 45-minute commute to our Peckham (SE15 2EZ) office. Have a strong interest in the Property sector, with a focus on Land and Development.

Salary details:



This is a commission-based role, however a basic salary is also provided.

If you are applying with prior experience, this will be taken into account when discussing your remuneration package and may vary from the below DOE.

Annual on target earnings (OTE) - 30,000 - 35,000 - this is inclusive of a basic salary and commission Guaranteed commission for the first 4-months of employment Tiered commission structure - up to 17.5% Additional bonuses and fees to be discussed and agreed for 2026 onwards
