We are looking for a Land Freight Customs Coordinator to work at our site in Tilbrook, Milton Keynes (MK7 8BN).




You will be expected to work a rotating shift pattern Monday through Friday, such as 7 am to 4 pm or 12 pm to 9 pm.




The position holder will deliver outstanding customer service to the Customs clients of Yusen Logistics (UK) Ltd, ensuring that shipments are managed efficiently and accurately from the start.

Key responsibilities:




Collaborate effectively within the team to build strong relationships. Respect diverse ideas and opinions. Keep customers informed about shipment delays, customs holds, and issue resolutions. Update customers on planned maintenance and potential service delays. Ensure customer KPIs and SLAs are met. Deliver high-quality service that exceeds customer expectations. Prepare and check customs entries promptly for compliance. Support cancellation and amendment of customs entries while keeping customers updated. Adhere to company procedures, including Health and Safety. Report escalations to your Team Leader. Be proactive in problem-solving. Maintain high operational service standards and adhere to deadlines. Communicate any SOP changes immediately to the team.


Key requirements:




Experience with customs procedures and regulations, as well as freight forwarding Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and customer service skills Experience working with a dynamic team Confident and professional manner Highly organised and capable of working under pressure Strong problem-solving and investigative skills Attention to detail, with strong numeracy and literacy skills Follows defined procedures precisely and consistently to ensure successful outcomes Proficiency in building relationships at all levels within an organisation and with clients Demonstrates strong self-efficacy and the ability to work autonomously Highly motivated and focused on meeting customer expectations and service level agreements (SLAs) Experience in a fast-paced environment Good communication and customer service abilities Competent in IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Excel Effective time management skills
