About the role
You will be a surveyor in a small team:
With responsibilities including topographical surveys, data collection and co-ordination
Undertake surveys using equipment including laser scanners and drones
Liaising with technicians
Working on various projects across major civil engineering sectors including Network rail and the Environment Agency.
Client-facing, attending meetings and site visits.
Your responsibilities will include:
Conduct drone surveys (LiDAR and photogrammetry) over land and structures
Operate static terrestrial scanners to collect point cloud data
Process and clean point cloud datasets using RealWorks, Autodesk ReCap, or similar
Produce high-quality topographical drawings and 3D models in N4CE
Assist in planning and logistics for survey operations
Meeting project deadlines and budgets
Upholding strict quality standard of work
Abiding by ISO 9001 and 19650 requirements
Communicating effectively with clients, supply chains, stakeholders and colleagues
Requirements
2-5 years' experience in land and structural surveying
Proficient in N4CE (essential)
Familiarity with RealWorks and/or Autodesk ReCap
Comfortable with point cloud data
Good understanding of coordinate systems and geo referencing
Strong attention to detail and CAD drawing standards
UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
Desirable (but not required)
Previous drone operations + GVC (General Visual Line of Sight Certificate) - Training provided if not held
Experience working under BIM workflows
Exposure to railway or infrastructure environments
