Basic Salary + Overtime + Bonus

13.47 per hour + enhanced overtime + bonus earning potential

THIS IS A FULL-TIME PERMANENT POSITION



Enovert is one of the UK's leading providers of waste management services. Our primary operations include 7 operational landfill sites, 3 composting facilities and 2 waste transfer stations across which Enovert manages in excess of 2.3 million tonnes of waste per annum.

Enovert is also a significant generator of renewable energy, primarily based on the extraction of gas from our landfill sites. Enovert's sites produce approximately 194 GWh of electricity each year - enough electricity to power 75,000 homes.

Enovert also provide specialist services for the management and aftercare of landfill sites including site environmental engineering, environmental monitoring, site restoration, landfill gas management and utilisation plus the development of closed sites for green space and renewable energy projects.

Are you ready to play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly and safely? We're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our team! You'll be operating heavy plant and equipment, inspecting and managing waste for disposal and ensuring everything meets our high standards. From performing daily maintenance checks to compacting and processing materials, you'll be at the heart of the action. Plus, you'll support site engineering and maintenance tasks and help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-organised site under the guidance of the Site Supervisor or Manager. Key Responsibilities:



Operate and maintain heavy plant and equipment, ensuring daily records and safety checks are up to date.

Occasionally perform site housekeeping tasks such as litter picking, fence repairs, and pump maintenance as directed.

Inspect and report non-conforming waste, collect samples, and maintain safe haul roads and tipping areas.

Assist with infrastructure maintenance, including site gas systems, wheel wash, weighbridges, and leachate treatment.

Apply daily and intermediate cover materials and ensure site cleanliness and tidiness.

Uphold company policies, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations.

Positively interact with customers, contractors, and visitors.

Undertake additional tasks as reasonably required by site management.

Skills and Experience:



ESSENTIAL



A full driving license and experience operating plant and machinery.

Relevant safety awareness and plant training certifications for applicable classes of plant.

Proven experience in the competent operation of plant and equipment.

Previous employment in the waste management industry with an understanding of waste management techniques, permitted waste types, waste classification, and associated hazards.

A strong customer care focus with the ability to maintain positive interactions in a professional environment.

DESIRABLE



Administrative skills with attention to detail and organisational ability.
