Do you enjoy being outside, getting your hands dirty, and seeing the results of a hard day's work? We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys landscaping and garden maintenance -- someone who takes pride in caring for outdoor spaces and wants to build a role they can really enjoy.

This position would suit a self employed-self motivated person who's happy working independently, takes responsibility for their own day when called upon, and also enjoys being part of a supportive team when working together. Every day is different, with a variety of gardens and landscapes to care for, so a positive attitude and a love of outdoor work are essential.

Responsibilities

Planting, pruning, watering, fertilising, and mulching garden beds to promote healthy growth Operating hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems efficiently and safely Maintaining lawns through mowing, edging, aerating, and fertilising Assisting with landscape maintenance projects including planting schemes and seasonal displays Monitoring plant health and identifying pests or diseases for prompt treatment Clearing debris and ensuring the outdoor area remains clean and well-organised Assisting with the installation of new garden features or structures as required Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times during outdoor work

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools such as secateurs, spades, rakes, and shovels Experience with irrigation systems installation and maintenance Ability to operate power tools safely including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers Growing experience with various plants, shrubs, trees, and flowers Knowledge of gardening techniques and horticulture principles Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices to ensure sustainable outdoor environments Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail in garden design and upkeep Physical fitness to perform outdoor labour over extended periods in all weather conditions
