We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Technician to join our team and contribute to maintaining and enhancing outdoor environments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and landscape maintenance, with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic. Duties
Perform routine soft landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, and planting to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
Carry out hard landscaping tasks including paving, fencing, small brickwork projects.
Operate mechanical equipment such as excavators and power tools safely and efficiently.
Use hand tools for tasks such as trimming, fencing, footpath installs, and planting.
Conduct general maintenance of outdoor spaces, including debris removal and soil preparation.
Support construction projects related to landscape development, including setting up structures or features as required.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards at all times.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects within specified timeframes while maintaining high standards of quality.
Skills
Proven experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture is preferred.
Mechanical knowledge related to operating machinery such as excavators and power tools.
Proficiency with hand tools used in gardening and construction tasks.
Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Knowledge of gardening principles, horticulture practices, and plant care techniques.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Physical fitness to handle manual labour involving lifting, digging, and operating machinery for extended periods.
