We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices. This role involves the upkeep of various landscapes, ensuring that gardens and outdoor spaces are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing. The Landscape Technician will utilise a variety of tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators, to carry out their duties effectively.
Duties
Perform regular landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, weeding, and planting.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to maintain gardens and outdoor areas.
Assist with the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
Conduct routine inspections of landscapes to identify issues such as pests or diseases affecting plants.
Collaborate with team members on larger landscaping projects, including construction tasks as needed.
Maintain equipment in good working condition through regular cleaning and basic repairs.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their landscaping needs.
Requirements
Proven experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture is preferred.
Mechanical knowledge is essential for operating various equipment safely.
Familiarity with gardening techniques and principles of horticulture is advantageous.
Experience with excavators and other heavy machinery is a plus.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
