North Hill Gardens is a well-established and leading landscape design and build company based in Glasgow. We're a

small but busy team

, typically running 2-5 construction projects at a time alongside 4 dedicated maintenance teams. Our projects mainly focus from private residential garden -- all delivered to the highest standard of quality and craftsmanship.

We're now looking for an organised, hands-on

Landscape Team Leader

to join our team.

The successful applicant will be an experienced tradesman with site management and organisation experience able to oversee residential projects across Glasgow & surrounding areas. Lead a team delivering high-quality hard and soft landscaping: slabbing, paving, decking, brickwork, planting, garden rooms & more.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Leadership & Team Management



Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of landscapers to deliver projects to agreed quality, timescales, and specifications. Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and support to junior team members. Liaise effectively with clients, management, and suppliers to ensure clear communication and customer satisfaction. Plan and delegate daily tasks to ensure efficient site operations.

2. Hard Landscaping



Set out and construct a variety of landscape features, including paving, block paving, retaining walls, and edging. Carry out woodwork installations such as fencing, decking, pergolas, and sleeper structures. Operate machinery including diggers, dumpers, and other relevant plant safely and competently. Undertake brickwork, blockwork, and the construction of garden structures or outdoor buildings.

3. Soft Landscaping



Prepare ground for turfing, seeding, and planting. Lay turf, sow seed, and plant trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants according to plans. Provide clients with aftercare and maintenance guidance following project completion.

4. Professionalism & Compliance



Work in full accordance with company Health & Safety policies, RAMS, and environmental procedures. Promote company values and maintain a professional appearance and attitude on all sites. Ensure tools, machinery, and vehicles are used safely, efficiently, and maintained to a high standard.

The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience



Full UK Driving Licence. Minimum of 4 years' experience in hard landscaping, including leadership of small teams. Strong skills in bricklaying, slabbing, woodwork, and groundworks. Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a wider leadership team.

Desirable Qualifications:



CSCS, CPCS or NPORS certification. Relevant SVQ or construction/plant operations qualifications.

Package:



Salary - 30,000 - 40,000 per annum (negotiable dependent on experience). Company Pension Scheme. Uniform provided. Additional annual leave entitlement for length of service. Hours: Monday to Friday 8 am to 4:30pm, 40 Hours per week.
