Job Summary

We are seeking a Landscaping Operative to support the construction of high-end private gardens, working closely with a supervisor on site. The role is primarily focused on external build works, with involvement in planting and finishing tasks where required. You may also support commercial schemes depending on programme needs. This position suits someone who takes care in their work and enjoys practical, site-based tasks.

Responsibilities

Assist with the construction of paving, steps, retaining walls, edging and associated build works Support ground preparation including excavation, setting levels and sub-base installation Work with natural stone, porcelain, concrete products and related materials Assist with drainage runs and basic groundwork Carry out planting, turfing and soil preparation as part of completed schemes Follow drawings and instructions provided by the site supervisor & design team Use hand tools and powered equipment safely and correctly Keep work areas tidy and store tools and materials properly Follow health and safety guidance at all times
Requirements

Around two years of experience in garden build or external construction work preferred CSCS card preferred Confident using hand tools and powered equipment Basic understanding of ground preparation, setting levels and material handling Willing to assist with planting works as required Able to work outdoors throughout the year Reliable, organised and attentive to detail Physically capable of lifting, digging and moving materials Comfortable working as part of a small team under a supervisor
