The Landscape Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing soft landscaping works across new-build housing sites, ensuring that all plot and POS installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required developer standards.
This role blends hands-on landscaping with team leadership, site coordination, and strong communication with site management. Acting as the key link between landscaping crews, the office, and housebuilder site teams, the Supervisor ensures smooth and consistent delivery throughout each development.
The Working Site Foreman upholds all Health & Safety procedures, supports productive and efficient teams, and maintains positive working relationships with site managers and other trades.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily soft landscaping operations on new-build sites, ensuring safe, neat, and high-quality completion of plots and open spaces.
Act as the main point of contact for housebuilder site managers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Coordinate and supervise teams carrying out tasks such as turfing, planting, mulching, tree planting, and plot presentation.
Ensure all work meets developer specifications, site standards, and quality requirements.
Maintain strict compliance with site Health & Safety rules, including RAMS, inductions, PPE, and site-specific procedures.
Identify issues such as poor ground conditions, missing materials, or access restrictions and resolve or escalate as required.
Interpret landscape drawings, planting plans, and developer specifications to ensure accurate installation.
Carry out hands-on landscaping work including turfing, planting, bed preparation, tree staking, hedging, and plot finishing.
Complete quality checks, snagging, and final sign-offs with site managers.
Manage site logistics for each development: materials orders, deliveries, muck-away/waste, access, and vehicle loading/unloading.
Keep accurate daily site records, including photos, progress updates, snag lists, and variations, using the Reflow app.
Conduct site inductions for new operatives and help train less experienced team members in best practice.
Represent the company professionally at all times, supporting strong and respectful relationships with housebuilder clients.
Duties may be updated as needed to meet business and client requirements.
