Large Format Printing And Finisher
Job Description
Signs and Lines Limited design, manufacture signage for various sectors including FM, Hospitals, construction, schools, Universities and MOD.
The work will involve Large format printing and will cover many of the diverse skills involved in sign Finishing, application, weeding, laminating.
Some artwork experience in Photoshop and Illustrator is required.
Pre-press experience is required.
Other machines available are Laser engraving, Rotary engraver and CNC Router experience would be good but not essential, training will be given.
Knowledge on various substrates such as acrylic, aluminium, dibond, rigid PVC, and Foamex would be essential.
Key Processes:
Follow Company procedures working to ISO9001 Work well as a team or on own Design signs Plan work schedule Pre-press Large Format Printing Material preparation Application to various substrates Vinyl cutting Laser engraving Laminating by hand and machine Routing CNC Book deliveries in/out Stock checks Assist with occasional installation (2nd operative) Overtime is expected in busy periods
Competencies:
Must have Signage experience Good practical skills. Good spelling and grammar. Computer literacy. Ability to work as part of a small team. Organisational skills. Good time keeping
Knowledge needed for the role:
Awareness of health and safety. Understanding of technology used to produce signs. Ability to keep up to date with new skills and techniques.
