We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting equipment to produce precise components and assemblies. Duties
Set up and operate laser cutting machinery according to specifications and technical drawings.
Monitor machine operation to ensure precise cuts and adherence to quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laser equipment to maintain optimal performance.
Assist with fabrication tasks such as grinding, welding, and assembly of sheet metal components.
Use hand tools and tooling to finish parts, including deburring and surface finishing.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measurement tools to ensure accurate production.
Conduct basic inspections of finished products for defects or inconsistencies.
Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Skills
Proven experience in fabrication, sheet metal work, or related manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of grinding, welding, and assembly techniques is desirable.
Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
Proficiency with hand tools, tooling, and basic measuring instruments such as calipers or micrometers.
Strong understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations during setup and inspection.
Familiarity with sheet metal handling and fabrication processes.
Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
