About the Role

Modern Facade Solutions are seeking an experienced Laser Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. The role involves operating laser cutting machinery to produce components used within facade and cladding systems, working to high standards of quality, accuracy, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate laser cutting machines Read and interpret engineering drawings, cutting lists, and job specifications Adjust cutting parameters, speeds, and feeds to ensure accurate results Carry out basic machine maintenance, cleaning, and routine checks Monitor production runs and troubleshoot issues as they arise Inspect cut components to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy Optimise material usage and minimise waste

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years' experience operating laser cutting machines in a similar environment Strong understanding of laser cutting processes and sheet metal materials Ability to read and interpret technical fabrication drawings High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work in a high-volume fabrication environment Full UK driving licence and ability to operate a forklift truck Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Ideally able to use AutoCAD to carry out minor drawing changes

Manufacturing shop floor environment Exposure to noise, dust, and machinery May require overtime or weekend work depending on production needs

Pay: 13.00-14.00 per hour
