Summary
Laser Operator
position available at Temploy Connection Limited in Sheffield. This role is essential in supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality staffing solutions within the construction sector by operating laser cutting equipment efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
Machine operation and setup, load programmes, select correct setting and prepare material for cutting
Operate laser machines to cut parts to specifications, monitoring performance and quality.
Quality control, Inspect finished parts for accuracy and compliance with dimensional standards, identifying and reporting defects
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment.
Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to meet production deadlines.
Maintain accurate records of production runs and machine maintenance.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Assist in material handling and preparation for laser cutting processes.
Skills & Experience Required:
Experience with Bystronic and Amanda Fibre Lasers essential
Proven experience as a laser operator or in a similar role within manufacturing or fabrication environments.
Mechanical knowledge related to machinery setup, operation, and maintenance.
Familiarity with fabrication processes such as welding, grinding, and sheet metal work is advantageous.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
Good understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Able to set up machinery independently
Flexibility to work day & night shifts
