We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating laser cutting machinery. This role involves working with sheet metal and requires proficiency in various hand tools and fabrication techniques. As a Laser Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the precision and quality of our products.
Any Press Brake operator experience would be beneficial
Responsibilities
Operate laser cutting machines to produce high-quality components from sheet metal.
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine the correct cutting parameters.
Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Fabricate and assemble parts as per project requirements, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Utilise hand tools for grinding, welding, and other fabrication tasks as needed.
Conduct basic mathematical calculations to verify dimensions and tolerances of components.
Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
Proven experience as a Laser Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and equipment.
Familiarity with sheet metal processes and tooling techniques is advantageous.
Ability to fabricate, assemble, grind, and weld components effectively.
Basic math's skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
