Laundry Assistant
Job Description
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a diligent Laundry Assistant to join our small team in the Rosemount area of Aberdeen. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the daily operation of a laundry, attending to customers and answering calls.
Responsibilities:
- Sorting, washing, drying, and folding customers garments and linen etc
- Operating industrial laundry equipment such as washing machines and dryers
- Inspecting laundry for stains and damages
- Ironing and folding items as needed
- Keeping track of inventory and keeping premises clean and tidy
- Ensuring all laundry procedures meet health and safety regulations
Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a laundry environment is advantageous
- Knowledge of different fabrics and their care requirements
- Attention to detail to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to liaise with other laundry staff
Training will be given as required.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 12.21 per hour
