Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team in a Care Home environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all linens and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This position requires a commitment to quality and efficiency by maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the Home.

Responsibilities

Operate washing machines and dryers, ensuring proper loading and unloading of laundry. Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens and garments according to established procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, including regular cleaning of machines. Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages or needs for replenishment. Adhere to health and safety regulations while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment. Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely turnaround of linens for residen rooms.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or similar environment is preferred but not essential. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Good physical stamina, as the role involves standing for long periods and lifting heavy items. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of laundry tasks. A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
