We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry and Dry cleaning Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This position is essential in maintaining the quality and cleanliness that our guests expect, particularly within a hotel environment.

Responsibilities

Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently, ensuring proper loading and unloading of laundry items. Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens and garments according to established procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages to management. Adhere to health and safety regulations while handling chemicals and operating machinery. Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean items to guest rooms or service areas. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to any laundry-related requests or concerns.

Experience

Previous experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively. A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
