Laundry Assistant/housekeeper
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- The role is split with two days covering Laundry and two days covering Housekeeping.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens and towels
- Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines
- Inspect linens for stains, tears, or damage and report any issues to the manager
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry and home area
- Follow proper procedures for handling and storing cleaning chemicals
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies
- Ensure that residents laundry is completed and is ironed and stocked back in their rooms
Skills:
- Previous experience working in a Care Home or similar hospitality setting is preferred
- Knowledge of different fabrics and their care instructions
- Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality results
- Experience in housekeeping and cleaning will be an assett
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors
