Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper handling of laundry items in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer satisfaction, making it a vital part of our operations.

Duties

Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items according to established procedures. Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently. Inspect items for damage or stains and report any issues to the supervisor. Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is kept in good working order. Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Assist with inventory management by tracking laundry supplies and notifying management when stock is low. Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns regarding laundry services.

Skills

Attention to detail to ensure high-quality results in laundry processing. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy environment. Good communication skills for interacting with colleagues and customers. Basic knowledge of laundry chemicals and their safe handling is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads when necessary.
