We pay above 'average' pay rates and we currently have several vacancies. Reporting to the Registered Manager successful candidates will have the following attributes

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Receiving, sorting and checking linen.

2. Washing and drying all linens, and other items, according to established procedures.

3. Folding and storing all laundered items, according to the Homes standard.

4. Delivery to and stocking of adequate quantities of linen in the linen storage areas and keeping well organised.

5. Maintaining the cleanliness of the laundry area and equipment.

6. Reporting maintenance defects and sub-standard linen to the Home Manager/Housekeeper.

7. Maintaining personal hygiene and a neat appearance.

8. Attending training sessions as and when required.

9. Following Health & Safety at Work, Food Hygiene and Fire Procedures.

10. The regular inspection of sluice rooms for unattended items.

11. The security of all COSHH items, linen storage and processing areas.

12. Monitoring, controlling and recommending the purchase of all detergents and rinsing agents.

13. A full knowledge of laundry equipment.

14. The handling, treatment or utilisation of badly soiled or damaged linen.

15. Assisting the Home Manager in the carrying out of linen and table linen stock checks.

16. Assisting in the execution of special cleaning tasks, e.g. the cleaning of shower and net curtains, curtains, etc.

Upon admission of new residents, ensure all personal items are labelled/marked correctly within 24 hours and to continually re-label or mark residents clothing

Pay: 12.40 per hour
