Job description:

We are seeking a meticulous Laundry Assistant to join our team at our newest laundry lounge. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all linens and clothing are cleaned, pressed, and neatly stored to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation within a new to industry site at Cambuslang. We serve the public between 9am-5.30pm Monday to Saturday and 10am-6pm on a Sunday, the store provides machines for self-service laundry too.

Responsibilities

- Organise, wash, dry, fold, and press clothing

- Inspect items for stains or damage and report any issues to customer and/or supervisor.

- Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines.

- Maintain cleanliness in the laundry area and equipment.

- Previous experience in a similar role would be desirable but not compulsory as full training will be given.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Attention to detail to ensure high-quality standards are met.

- Strong organisational skills to manage laundry tasks effectively and be comfortable with solo working.
