This role is offered on a hybrid basis. The successful candidate will be required to work 2 days per week in our London office, with the remaining days worked from home. We believe this balance supports collaboration and team connection while offering flexibility for focused home working.

We're looking for an experienced Lead Brand Designer (Maternity Cover) to join Cappfinity's Creative & Design Team. This is a hands-on, fixed-term role with responsibility for leading our brand and marketing design output, ensuring Cappfinity's story is told with creativity, consistency, and impact across all channels.



You'll step into a role where the foundations are strong - with clear brand direction, established guidelines, and a supportive part-time designer in the team - but also plenty of scope to evolve and enhance how our brand comes to life. Reporting to the Head of Design, you'll combine creative execution with team leadership, helping to deliver everything from campaign concepts to event materials, social media content to global brand assets.



This is a maternity cover position for up to 12 months, with the opportunity for an extended handover before leave begins.

Duties and Key Responsibilities



Typeset and format whitepapers, reports (InDesign), RFPs, and pitch decks (PowerPoint). Create engaging digital assets such as LinkedIn carousels and posts, email campaigns (Figma), and UI mockups for assessment platforms. Produce custom illustrations and graphics (neumorphic, glassmorphic styles, iconography). Design large-format print materials (pull-up banners, event stands, posters) and occasional merchandise. Act as brand custodian, ensuring all Cappfinity materials are on-brand, visually engaging, and consistent across regions and channels. Lead the delivery of brand and marketing design projects, from concept through to final artwork -- spanning digital, print, event, and multimedia collateral. Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Head of Design to support campaigns, events, and initiatives with strong creative execution. Manage and mentor our part-time Brand Designer, overseeing workload and providing creative guidance. Develop and refine brand guidelines, evolving Cappfinity's visual identity in step with industry and design trends - balancing continuity with fresh, forward-looking ideas. Collaborate with colleagues across the business to scope requirements, advise on creative approaches, and deliver high-quality, impactful design. Stay hands-on primarily in Figma, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Cloud to produce day-to-day creative work as needed.



The ideal candidate will have



Strong professional experience in branding and marketing design, ideally within a fast-paced business or agency environment. A track record of delivering high-quality creative across digital, social, print, and event channels. The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution - confident setting creative direction while happy to design and deliver personally. An eye for consistency, detail, and craft - ensuring the brand feels premium and cohesive across every touchpoint. Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work closely with marketing colleagues, senior stakeholders, and team members. Experience managing or mentoring other designers, providing constructive feedback and support. Confidence with Figma, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and strong working knowledge of digital-first design practices. Ideally, motion/animation skills, video editing experience - although this is not essential, an interest and willingness to learn this would be advantageous. * A relevant Design/Creative qualification or equivalent industry experience.
