Job summary




We are currently recruiting for a

Lead Business Analyst

to work on a hybrid basis, two/three days a week from our HQ in Coventry and the remainder working remotely from home.


As a key member of our wider digital team, this role is instrumental in connecting business needs with effective technology solutions. You will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to identify, analyse, and clearly articulate requirements that support the delivery of efficient, impactful solutions. Your work will drive informed decision-making, streamline processes and support meaningful change across the organisation. By translating complex business challenges into actionable insights, you will help deliver measurable value and lasting impact.

Job description



Be an integral part of the technical delivery team driving delivery of key AHDB and industry projects Develop process flows, user stories, use cases, business requirements and technical requirements for AHDB digital projects Work with the project teams to develop key artefacts and approaches and with our Digital, Data and Technologies (DDaT) colleagues to understand, shape and develop product roadmaps Develop relationships with key stakeholders across the industry Gather requirements from a broad range of internal and external stakeholders Engage individuals and teams to promote business analysis as a discipline across all AHDB projects Identify and cultivate technical partnerships with external organisations and technology stakeholders to service AHDB's wider goals and objectives Contribute to guiding other projects, teams and initiatives across the organisation Facilitate technical workshops

Person specification



Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or significant experience in similar role, including extensive business analysis experience in a technical setting and a thorough understanding of business analysis methodologies Strong knowledge of process modelling, requirements engineering and system design, and familiarity with digital transformation principles and emerging technologies (i.e. AI, automation, cloud) Exceptional analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to distil complex problems Strategic thinker, able to translate technology delivery for a broad range of audiences Strong interpersonal skills and excellent stakeholder management and facilitation capabilities Strong documentation and requirements elicitation skills (i.e. user stories, use cases, process maps) Proficiency in business analysis tools (i.e. Jira, Confluence, Visio, Balsamiq, Power BI)
