The Lead Carer with Admin Duties will support the Leicester branch of K2 Care by delivering high-quality personal care in the community while also assisting with day-to-day office and administrative functions. This hybrid role is ideal for a senior carer who can confidently provide support to service users and also maintain accurate records, help with rotas, and support service coordination in the office.
Duties
Care Duties
Deliver personal care and support as per care plans
Liaise with clients and families in a professional and compassionate manner
Report concerns, incidents or changes in condition to the Service Lead
Support new carers through buddying, mentoring and modelling best practice
Assist with spot checks and service quality observations
Admin Duties
Support rota coordination and adjustments under guidance from the Service Lead
Maintain accurate and confidential records of care, incidents, and staff performance
Complete initial assessments, update records, carry out reviews
Follow up on missed calls and ensure prompt reporting and resolution
Help update risk assessments, care logs and schedules as required
Answer office calls, take messages, and support day-to-day operations when in office
Qualifications
Qualifications: Care Certificate and Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Level 3 preferred)
Experience: Minimum 2 years in domiciliary care; previous admin or coordinator support experience desirable
Knowledge: Understanding of person-centred care, confidentiality, and safeguarding
Skills: Strong written and verbal communication; basic IT proficiency (Word, Excel)
Values: Reliable, organised, professional, caring attitude
IT Literacy: Able to input and retrieve data from digital systems
Desirable: Experience using care planning systems and rota tools (Birdie)
Driver with Vehicle access
