I am seeking a passionate and energetic Mini Athletics Coach to join my team in Nottingham and Loughborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching three fun and engaging athletics sessions for young children aged 2-8 years old on Saturday or Sunday mornings. This role requires a love for working with children, a passion for fitness, and the ability to inspire young athletes to enjoy physical activity and develop basic athletics skills in a supportive and positive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver three high-energy, engaging, and fun Mini Athletics sessions on Saturday or Sunday mornings for children aged 2-8 years old.
Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for all participants.
Plan and lead activities that develop fundamental motor skills, coordination, and athletic abilities.
Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere to promote teamwork, confidence, and a love for fitness.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing feedback and updates on the child's progress.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children during sessions.
Work with other coaches and staff to ensure the smooth running of sessions.
Follow the Mini Athletics program structure and curriculum, with full training provided.
Key Requirements:
A genuine passion for working with children and helping them develop their athletic abilities.
Enthusiasm for fitness and promoting an active lifestyle.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children and parents.
Experience in coaching children or working in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
Willingness to undergo a full DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
Willingness to complete a First Aid training course (if not already certified).
Additional Information:
Full training on the Mini Athletics program will be provided.
The coach will be expected to work three sessions each Saturday or Sunday morning.
Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
